Barron Studios operates differently than other recording studios.

That's good for you.

We strive to simplify the recording, mixing and mastering process. This means simple rates. Simple scheduling. Simply great sounding recordings.

All three of our studios are the same.  All three are awesome. So you don't have to worry about what studio you worked in last time.  It's guaranteed to sound the same this time. We've taken extreme measure to ensure this from design, construction,  identical gear, computers, software versions and plugins.

Senior Engineers and Staff Engineers both have undergone 100's of hours of Barron Studios training.  You may find one engineer you vibe best with, but all Barron Engineers have trained the same way before touching your project.

We don't hire or allow independent contract engineers to work out of our facility. When you book a session at Barron Studios, you are booking more than just your preference of engineer. You are booking a team that cares for your project.

This includes:

The Artist Care Representatives:  They schedule your appointments, lob you reminder phone calls a couple days in advance, email your mp3s and provide a smiling face to start and end every session.

The Technology Staff:  They manage your project's data while it lives on our massive B.A.A.S.S. hard drives. That the "Barron Active Artist Studio Sessions" drive and the ever expanding Barron Studios Project Archive System.

The Management: They handle any post-session requests and alterations, or anything that falls out of the ordinary.  We work with musicians. We understand every project is different.

The Interns: They prepare the studio for your session, providing a clean and crisp studio for your ideas to flourish in.

And of course,

Your Barron Studios Engineer: They are your musical partner bringing your ideas to life and out of the speakers.

Your data is your art.  Do you know what happens to it?

Either listen or read below to learn more!

Barron Studios keeps your data safe on a redundant system for three months after you last accessed it. This is called our "Active Studio Projects Drive".  This system keeps your data safe from deletions, hard drive failures and is accessible from any of our three studios. We also do our best to ensure that any technology advances (i.e. new versions of software, plugins etc.) will be done in a way that will keep your sessions current and not require additional work when new software versions are released.

Once a project has sat dormant for three months, it is transferred to the "Archive System". The "Archive System" is a free service Barron Studios provides to all clients projects.  Rather than delete client data Barron Studios provides a free data housing.  This is not meant to be a long term permanent storage solution.  The data is not duplicated.  There is no backup.  This system is subject to failure.  Barron Studios provides this because we are cool and deleting data is not cool.

If you need something from our "Archive System" speak to the Studio Manager.  Be prepared to spend some studio time on the session to update it to the current versions of technology (i.e. new software versions, plugin versions etc.).

Suggestions for your data

Bring a hard drive and keep a copy of your project! This is the 100% safest method of handling your data. You have a copy and Barron has a copy. If either fire, tornado, hurricane, or Japanese sea creature destroys Barron Studios, your project is gone.  We suggest you get a copy of your data as regularly as you can.  At least get a copy at project milestones (finished tracking / finished mixing / finished project).
