About Barron
The engineers at Barron Studios are more than button pushers and knob turners; they are involved in crafting your sound.
The sound you leave the studio with represents us - so we'll let you know if it... could be improved. And we won't settle for it," says Chris.
Chris and Todd are brothers. They started annoying their parents and family in the mid-Nineties once they got their first microphone.
“At one point we pushed our sister into the bathroom and told her to sing over a house remix we were messing with,†recalls Todd. “It sounded horrible - not because she can’t sing, but we had no idea what we were doing. And that’s where the obsession started.†Over ten years of audio experimentation, blown speakers, garage bands and gas station mixtapes later, Barron Studios opened in 2005.
“We learned to do this, by doing it, messing it up, fixing it and doing it again until it sounded better,†says Chris. “We’re always pushing and experimenting - that’s the founding attitude that keeps us fresh, evolving, and cutting edge.â€
The brothers grew up in a musical family. Their mom played concert violin in Europe. As kids they were toted to dress rehearsals for various ensembles and chamber groups. The nuances of musicianship, music theory, the value of practice and communication of musical ideas couldn’t help but be absorbed.
