Todd Macek is the owner and driving force behind Barron Studios, one of Houston’s most respected recording facilities. Since starting Barron Studios in 2005, he has overseen its transformation from a small local studio into a dynamic hub for recording, mixing, mastering, and immersive audio. Under his leadership, Barron has hosted thousands of sessions for artists across all genres. The studio is known for its unique relaxed vibe, high-end gear, and its talented and audio-obsessed team of engineers. Todd has built a reputation for fostering creativity, championing independent artists, and cultivating an environment where authenticity and artistry thrive.
Todd’s background in business and technology informs his hands-on approach to managing the studio. Whether he’s guiding artists through the recording process, curating the studio’s team of engineers, or innovating new services to meet the ever-changing demands of the music landscape, his focus remains on delivering high-quality work while nurturing long-term creative relationships.
Driven by a deep respect for the craft of music-making, Todd sees Barron Studios not just as a facility but as a collaborative home for artists to build their sound and shape their careers. His vision continues to push the boundaries of what a modern recording studio can be — accessible, artist-focused, and always evolving.
Barron Studios has been the studio home for thousands of Houston’s homegrown artists, including Don Toliver, Travis Scott, Tobe Nwigwe, Maxo Kream, Ken the Man, Bun B, Kirko Bangz, Erica Banks, and more.
Beyond Houston, the studio has had the pleasure of personally working with Key Glock, Rema, Kendrick Lamar, Hanumankind, Davido, Big Yavo, ODUMODUBLVK, 9th Wonder, and many other amazing artists.
Our work has been featured as part of major motion pictures Black Panther Wakanda Forever and Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, and nationwide advertisement campaigns for Adidas, Reebok, Sprite, McDonald’s, NFL, Moncler, and many others.
